Summary and changes

What we did, and what changed since last month.

A summary in plain words, then the site compared with the previous report: what was updated or installed, what was published, the issues resolved and the new ones. The first report has no previous one, so it records the whole site as we found it, the starting point every later report is compared with.

01 Summary

What we did and how your site is doing

This month we updated WordPress to 7.1.3, four plugins and the theme, and took a full backup before starting. We reviewed updates, security, backups, performance, SEO and the database. One update is left for next month on purpose.

The server answers in 0.3 s, sign-in protection is active and the certificate is valid until next year. Two things to look at: two images uploaded this month have no alternative text, and three pages still lack their own meta description.

  • WordPress, 4 plugins and the theme up to date
  • PageSpeed on mobile up from 69 to 78
  • Backup taken and checked before updating
  • Contact and order forms tested by hand

Notes from the team

We also changed the opening hours on the contact page, as you asked by email.

02 Changes

How the site evolved since the previous report

We compared today’s capture with the final one of “Maintenance report · September 2026” (September 15, 2026): versions, content, SEO, security, performance and every check.

Since September we published four products and two posts, removed the inactive plugin we flagged and gained nine points on mobile. One new issue: two images uploaded this month have no alternative text.

Checks and QA

What a machine checked, and what a person tested.

Findings by area, each marked OK, to review or to fix: from inside the site through werun.Toolkit, and from the outside the way Google and your visitors see it. Then the checklist a person on the team ran by hand: forms, analytics, the design on every screen size.

Next steps

What we recommend, in order of priority.

What is worth doing next and why, with what got worse first. Whatever was not done this month, or failed, is listed here rather than left out. Every earlier report of the site stays a click away.

07 Next steps

What we recommend next

Medium priority

Test WooCommerce Subscriptions 8 on staging

A major version: we install it on staging first and update the live site in the next maintenance if the renewals keep working.

Low priority

Write the three missing meta descriptions

Without one, Google picks a fragment of the page to show under the title.

How it is made

Two readings of the site, and the work in between.

Your site is read through werun.Toolkit before we start and again when we finish. The report comes from those two readings, so it shows what really happened.

  1. 01

    A plan for your site

How often (monthly, with Care), the hours, who on the team and the report’s language, English or Spanish. A maintenance is never less than four hours of work.

  2. 02

The cycle opens on its own

A few days before the date, the CRM opens a task in your project with the QA checklist on it and lets the team know.

  3. 03

    A reading before we start

The site is read: what needs updating, and what changed since the last report, including updates somebody else applied.

  4. 04

    The work

We update WordPress, plugins and themes in the dashboard, fix what the reading found, test by hand and track the time against the task.

  5. 05

    A reading when we finish

The site is read again and checked from the outside: the certificate, robots.txt, the sitemap, missing pages and PageSpeed on mobile and desktop.

  6. 06

    Written, signed, sent

A summary drafted from the two readings, reviewed and edited by the team, signed and sent to you as a private link.

How we keep it honest

A report that only says what the site says.

It is a record of the work you pay for, so it is built from readings rather than from what we remember doing.

Your site logs every time we look

Each reading is a signed, read-only request. werun.Toolkit lists every one on its Connection screen, so the site itself shows when we looked.

Only what the readings show

The summary is drafted from the figures of the two readings and nothing else. Whatever was not done, or failed, goes under next steps instead of out of the report.

Every change since last month, whoever made it

Every report is compared with the previous one, so a change between visits shows up whoever made it: an automatic update, a plugin installed, content published.

Updates held back, with the reason

An update we leave for later is listed with the reason: a premium licence to renew, or a major version we test before installing.

Measured the way it is shown

PageSpeed varies from run to run, so we can measure again and choose the run that counts. When that run was taken without Google Tag Manager, or on another page, the report says so.

Where you find it

One link, your Client Portal, or a PDF.

A private link

Long and random, and search engines are told not to index it. A new link retires the old one.

PDF

A file to forward

The Print / PDF button keeps the design, dark background included, for a file you can send to whoever needs it.
